Peugeot has unveiled its new family-friendly seven-seater SUV: the e-5008.
First available as a purely electric model with a range of up to 650 kilometers, followed by hybrid petrol-electric variants. In three trim levels, it is billed as a longer and more spacious alternative to the smaller e-3008.
At launch there will be three pure electric powertrains: a single 210 hp motor with a 73 kWh battery and a range of 500 kilometers; a single long-range motor of 230 hp, a 98 kWh battery and a range of 650 kilometers; and a powerful dual-motor, all-wheel drive version with 320 hp, a 73 kWh battery and a range of 500 kilometers.
Choices: first available as a purely electric model with a range of up to 650 km, followed by hybrid petrol-electric variants
Two more hybrids will follow: an economical 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol mild-hybrid, and a plug-in hybrid that combines a 92 kW electric motor with a 150 hp petrol engine, with an expected electric-only range of 79 kilometers.
Expect prices to be just over £50,000 for the all-electric models, and under £40,000 for the hybrids.
