The Real Housewives of Melbourne will return this year with their long-awaited fifth season.

But fans stayed crazy after it was announced that project developer, Pettifleur Berenger, would not return.

The 55-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday that she returns to TV after resolving a personal issue.

“I am humbled by the disappointment of my fans that I am not returning to RHOM this season,” she said.

“I can, however, promise them that I will return to TV if I have arranged some very important things that I cannot discuss for legal reasons.”

Pettifleur the size of a pint is one of the most controversial housewives who have appeared in the series over the years.

In the hit show, she accused her housewife Gamble Breaux of having met her husband on a Sugar Daddy website.

She also argues with Lydia Schiavello and clashed memorable with psychic Jackie Gillies who would not use her powers to find the misplaced birth certificate of Pettifleur’s son.

Earlier this week, Foxtel confirmed that Gina Liano, Janet Roach, Gamble and Lydia would all be back for season five of the series.

They are accompanied by three brand new Housewives: former CNN news anchor Anjali Rao, yoga teacher Cherry Dipietrantonio and ‘Champagne educator’ Kyla Kirkpatrick.

The new season starts in March and will be broadcast on Foxtel later this year.
