seeing is believing
When the box is first set up, you get a free trial of Premium Petkit Care+, which essentially lets you watch the entire playback when your cat uses it (without it, you can only see still images of the times your pet appears). The free trial of the premium plan lasts 30 days from setup and has three levels of subscription plans. from $4 per month for Basic and up to $12 per month for Premium+. By playing the Premium version, you can literally watch the metaphorical sausage being made inside the box, while recording your cat using the litter box in all its glory, followed by a recording of the litter falling as the feces separate Clean the sand and dispense into the airtight bag below. After showing the stool, there is a box where you have an illustration showing normal versus abnormal stool so you can identify any changes or abnormalities (one of the most effective ways to monitor your cat’s health). While it’s a good idea in theory, the videos aren’t high definition and were always in black and white, which made watching anything very difficult (I often found myself saying, “Yeah, that’s a little gray image of a little cat poop.
One of my cats is a huge 20 pound gray tabby and the other is a 12 pound super fluffy calico. When I ran the Petkit Care+ test, it correctly identified cats about 75 percent of the time, but once it expired, it never automatically identified which cat it was, even though they looked completely different.
Pack it up
The litter box can use several types of litter, including clay and tofu, but has different grates to sift the litter and ensure it is separated properly. The 10-liter trash can lasts up to 20 days on a single jack and is located on the back of the device. Like other Petkit litter boxes I’ve tried, it smells great thanks to the patented odor eliminator ($20 for three refills) and sealed waste bag. When the trash bin is full, open the trunk lid, take out the dirty bag, replace it with a clean bag, and attach the refill ring cover to ensure it stays in place properly. Part of the reason the rear end of the trunk is so large is because of the automatic packing system. It is lifted during operation and when the bag is full, it has automatic packing, sealing and bagging. Then, when the sealed garbage bag is ready, the user only needs to remove it (they must do it manually with the buttons on the device and be present to take it out and refill it). Because of this packaging system, you will need Petkit’s special refill rings and trash bags (three for $35). Although the smart box shows images of the stool, they are not very detailed, so I recommend that you check the stool yourself to make sure there is nothing wrong.
