Peter Dutton was left stunned after a question from an ABC journalist during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
‘What determines the fact that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization?’ the ABC journalist asked.
Puzzled, Dutton asked for clarification on which media organization the journalist represented.
‘So what is ABC’s question, just to be very clear?’ -Mr Dutton asked.
After a brief exchange, the journalist asked, “If you could explain what determines something to be a terrorist organization?”
Dutton responded by accusing the ABC of being “in bigger trouble than I imagined.”
“At least until then I had taken it for granted that the ABC supported the government’s laws,” he explained.
‘The government has passed laws, with support from both parties, but not the ABC, apparently, regarding the statute of limitations or listing of a terrorist organization.
‘Hezbollah, under Australian law, is included on the list of terrorist organizations.
Peter Dutton was left stunned after a question from an ABC journalist during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
“Now, if the ABC doesn’t support that, they should be very clear about it because I think it’s a big change.” But you asked me why our country has included Hezbollah on the list.
“They are a terrorist organization, they organize terrorist attacks, and if that is not clear to the ABC, then I think the ABC is in bigger trouble than I first imagined.”
