Peter Crouch has claimed that Jose Mourinho Dele Alli shows ‘who’s boss’ after the angry reaction of the Tottenham star to his replacement in the Champions League.
Alli was drained after 64 minutes during a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to RB Leipzig on Wednesday, with the English international throwing his water bottle in anger and hitting his boots on the floor.
The 23-year-old has now been left on the bench by Mourinho for the crucial collision of his match against Chelsea, as both teams pursue the Champions League qualification.

It comes after Alli’s angry reaction to replacing Wednesday against RB Leipzig
This is despite the lack of available attacking players from Tottenham with key figures Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both due to an injury.
“I think he shows him who’s the boss to be honest,” Crouch told BT Sport during the pre-game coverage.
“I think that’s the way to respond and I think Mourinho’s comments after the game said they were improving when he left and we were on the game.
“Lamela and Ndombele were class when they came in.”

Colleague BT Sports expert Rio Ferdinand added: “Some managers would say:” I like to see that emotion and that pride and disappointment in being fired. ”
“Jose Mourinho, of course, says on the other hand:” I’m not going to do that if you get fired. You will act accordingly and you will see why while looking from the couch. “
When questioning before the game, Mourinho refused to clarify why Alli had lost weight from the first eleven.

“I’m not sure if you ask every Premier League manager when a player fails, you ask the same question,” he told BT Sport.
“It seems normal to me that other managers leave out any player who wants to do that, and I make a decision of this type with me, it’s also a big story around them, so I’d rather not answer.”
