Peter Andre is ‘inspired’ by his parents’ marriage.
The pop star, 51, has been married to Emily MacDonagh, 35, for almost a decade and took to social media on Thursday to share a clip of his father Savvas, 92, and mother Thea, 87, celebrating their anniversary.
The couple married in 1955, which means next year will be their platinum anniversary.
In the clip, Savvas is visiting his wife in her nursing home in Australia and is carrying a huge bouquet of flowers.
Peter wrote alongside the video: ‘My 91 year old dad gifts my beautiful mom flowers with his classic quote for their 69th wedding anniversary.

‘Honestly, they inspire me a lot.
‘I love you both beyond words. I thank you every day for being the best parents I could ever wish for.
‘See you in a few weeks, 1 year after the big 70. Thank you sister @the.beauty.couture for taking care of them.’
Savvas joked to the nurses that he had been married for “three life sentences” and impressed them with a huge black-and-white photograph of his wedding day.
Thea suffers from Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, and earlier this year Peter made a heartbreaking admission as he struggled to cope.
In his column for new! magazine, Peter said: ‘I can’t believe I’m almost 51. I was worried as I approached 50, but I’m over it now and I feel great.
“I love life and age is just a number. You can live life to the fullest at any age. But I’ll be honest: the only thing that makes me sad about getting older is that my parents are sad too.”

Peter admitted to seeing a “rapid decline” in the health of his 88-year-old mother Thea (seen with Peter and wife Emily MacDonagh) as she lives with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
Peter and Emily have children Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, and Peter has Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with Katie Price, 45.
Peter continued: ‘While I thank God that my parents are still here, I see a rapid deterioration, especially in my mother. I find it difficult to deal with that part.
“Like most people, I have such a close relationship with my parents that I find it very difficult to come to an agreement.”
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker has spoken at length about how “very hard and emotional it is” to watch Thea’s health deteriorate.
Peter has children Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, from his first marriage to Katie Price, and has Amelia, 10, Theo, seven, and Arabella, three months, with Emily.
