Pete Davidson is reportedly struggling to land new jobs after making the decision to cancel his comedy tour, as well as the second season of his Peacock TV show, Bupkis.
According to sources who spoke with The US SunThe comedian, who spent time in rehab earlier this year, is said to have “burned bridges” in the TV and film industry, with a deal for a new project falling through because didn’t show up to meetings.
A source said the problems began when Pete, 31, made the abrupt decision to cancel the second season of Bupkis, even though it already had the green light.
“When Bupkis was ready for season two, and Pete suddenly backed out, people were furious with him,” the source told The US Sun.
Several of Pete’s dates were canceled after he checked into rehab in late July amid fears about his “unpredictable” behavior following his split from girlfriend Madelyn Cline.
However, since leaving rehab, his team has reportedly been struggling to move things forward in terms of his career.
“His team is still trying to get him on social media, so he went ahead and then backed out,” the source said. “This guy is really hard to work with.”
However, a different source claimed that Pete was simply taking his time when making work decisions and had made his mental health a priority.

The comedian starred in his own TV show Bupkis alongside Joe Pesci, but suddenly made the decision to cancel the second season.
“He gets movie and TV offers every week, but they aren’t necessarily aligned with the things he’s looking to do,” a second insider told the publication.
“He’s actually getting offers all the time, but he’s figuring out exactly what he wants.”

It comes after Pete, who has dated the likes of Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian in the past, returned to Saturday Night Live and appeared in a musical alongside host John Mulaney.
He had last appeared on the long-running late-night show in October 2023, when he hosted an episode with musical guest Ice Spice.
Pete was a cast member of the much-loved late-night comedy show for eight seasons from 2014 to 2022.
This week, he revealed that his first paycheck from Saturday Night Live was much less than most people assume.
When asked what his biggest splurge was during his first season on the NBC sketch comedy show in 2014, the comedian laughed at the idea of buying something ostentatious with his previous budget.
A source claimed Pete, pictured here in October 2022, is “very difficult to work with”.
‘Do you know what they pay us? It’s like three thousand dollars an episode, so I think I’ve already had dinner!’ he said New York Magazine.
According to Pete’s claim, that would mean that a cast member, earning the same as him, would earn between $54,000 and $66,000 per year for appearing on 18 to 22 episodes of SNL.
Pete’s current net worth is reportedly around $8 million thanks to his various film and television roles in the past.
The Staten Island native has appeared in films such as The Suicide Squad, Bodies, Bodies, Bodies and enjoyed a voice role in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Pete has a couple of roles that are currently in post-production, including Wizards! and The van.
