The 29-year-old comedian spoke in a backyard interview with John, 46, about the public’s interest in his personal life and high-profile relationships.
I think what happened is that I became more known before he started working there. But I’ve always been working. … Look, I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people and for some reason this is so crazy and interesting to people,” Pete said while donning a gray beanie and hoodie in his interview.
I don’t think this is interesting. I’ve been in TV show business for about half my life, for 14 or 15 years, and on a national TV show. And in 12 years, I’ve dated like 10 people, I really don’t think that’s crazy,” Pete said. “But for some people it seems like a lot of fun.”
Pete added that it was “confusing” that he wasn’t on social media “showing off” his dating life.

Those people you dated, as if you met them at work. Like, I wasn’t in anyone’s DMs, and nobody was in mine. … I’ve worked in one of the five hotspots of Hollywood where you meet people. “And that’s just what I was working with and who I was in,” Pete said.
Pitt went on to say that he has been thrown into the “zeitgeist”, but that whatever is said about him “has nothing to do with the work”.
“And that feels really great,” Pete said.
Pete was a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live for eight seasons from 2014 through 2022.
Kim Kardashian, 42, and Pitt began dating in October 2021 after the reality star appeared on Saturday Night Live and they shared an onscreen kiss together.
Ariana Grande, 29, was the host and musical guest on the March 2016 episode of Saturday Night Live and began dating Pete in May 2018. Pete confirmed in June 2018 that they were engaged, but called it off in October 2018.
Pitt also dated comedian Carly Aquilino. Katie David, daughter of Larry David; Actress Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor and Emily Ratajkowski. He has recently been dating Chase Sui Wonders.
The New York City native told John he was trying to become the man he wanted to be while watching him.
