Pet owners know there’s nothing better than a good cuddle with their furry loved one, but one woman shared a scary warning after developing an eye infection from her cat.
Alexandra Sedlak shared the PSA and urged people to be careful or even wear protective glasses if they sleep near pets at night.
“You’ll want to hear this,” the cat’s owner warned. “If you have any interest in your health or saving your eyes.”
Alexandra assured viewers that the terrifying infection did not come from the cat’s claws, but when her car sneezed, she retold the story. story to TikTok.
The content creator explained that she was falling asleep on her couch on Christmas a few years ago, when her cat came up to her and touched her nose to his.
“She’s very sweet and she gets sleepy and blinks slowly, she looks into my eyes and I feel a lot of love for her,” he recalled.
Then, out of nowhere, his cat sneezed directly in his eye.
“I was mainly shocked and upset, and I took my hand and wiped my eye and I wasn’t going to mess with it, and (tried to fall asleep) right away,” she explained.

However, Alexandra said her body “wouldn’t let her” fall asleep.
‘Do you know what happens when an animal sneezes directly into your unprotected eye?’ she asked.
“I literally felt like, and I’m not exaggerating, I felt like my body was rejecting my eye,” he said.
“It felt like my eye was being ripped out of its socket,” he continued. “Because that’s how quickly it got infected.”
According to Alexandra, the infection occurred in “seconds.”
“I immediately knew something was wrong,” the cautious woman explained.
“I panicked,” he admitted. “I was afraid of losing my eye.”
Alexandra spoke to her mother, who suggested she try eye drops after washing her eyes with water.
The cat lover said her eye was bruised and swollen, which prevented her from opening her eye for a few days.

Users commented on the video, many detailing their own experiences.
“I didn’t go out in public, I looked like I’d been punched in the eye,” he said.
He added that the measures he took immediately “preserved his eye.”
“I know it sounds dramatic,” he acknowledged. “Believe me, if I hadn’t gone through this myself, I would think it was the most dramatic story ever.”
She captioned the video: “We still cuddle but I wear glasses.”
