Horror as five-month-old puppy Arlo is beaten to death on his daily walk – as his owners plan to sue the killer dog dogs they left unsupervised

  • Fiona and Kelvin went for a walk with their two dogs Arlo and Archie on January 10
  • On the way to a park in Brisbane, a dog escaped from an estate and mauled Arlo
  • Arlo died in Kelvin’s arms on the way to the vet and Archie was injured
  • The couple is now raising money to bring the owners of the aggressive dog to justice

A five month old puppy named Arlo was torn to death by an aggressive dog during his daily walk.

Owners Fiona and Kelvin planned to take their beloved Maltese and his older brother Archie to a park to stretch their legs during Brisbane’s three-day lockdown.

But minutes into their journey, a large black dog escaping from a nearby property stormed toward Arlo, clutching the tiny white dog in its jaw.

“We will never forget the look on his face when we screamed for help,” Fiona told Daily Mail Australia.

“Arlo was immediately knocked unconscious and blood spilled from him.”

The uninhibited dog then turned his attention to four-year-old Archie, who clawed and bit his back.

After hearing the commotion, the owner came out of his house and called the dog home while bystanders came to Arlo’s rescue.

Fiona continued to speak to witnesses while Kelvin and another man attempted to take the injured puppy to two vets, but both were shut down by the lockdown.

When Kelvin returned two hours later, he said his partner Arlo had died in his arms.

‘I was not ready to give up. I hoped a miracle would come and he wouldn’t die, ”Fiona said.

‘We went to a third vet, but she said that even if he was treated right away, there was nothing they could do for him.

“His lungs and spine were crushed and he had internal injuries.”

Shortly after the attack, Fiona said she was trying to confront the owner of the attacking dog, but a woman came out of the house instead.

The big black dog also attacked their four-year-old dog Archie, forcing the couple to spend $ 600 to cover the cost of his vet money.

She had no regrets at all. She just said her kids had taken the dog for a walk, but it wasn’t hers so it wasn’t her responsibility. ‘

The incident has been reported to the municipality and is being investigated.

The heartbroken owners are now seeking justice for Arlo and compensation to cover Archie’s $ 600 vet bill.

They have one GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of taking the villain dog’s owners to court.

‘I am angry. The owners refuse to take responsibility for what their dog has done and from what I have heard from the municipality, the owners are not cooperating and have hidden the dog.

We are left with expensive vet bills and broken and empty hearts.

‘Arlo was our baby. We loved him so much. We haven’t stopped crying since it happened because our hearts are so heavy without him.

‘Our house is just very quiet. He was such a loving kind dog. ‘
