Pet dogs found dead and dumped on the side of the road after being stolen from a home in Victoria
Two dogs were found dead and dumped on the roadside after being stolen from a rural Victorian property.
Jack Russell terriers three-year-old Sassy and six-month-old Buzzy were outside a property in Moliagul, about 60km west of Bendigo, with their owner on Sunday when a van pulled up.
Police are searching for a driver who stole two Jack Russell terriers from a property in northwest Victoria before the dogs were found dead nearby.
The driver of the white ute, who had a damaged tray, opened the door and stole the dogs before fleeing.
A member of the public discovered the dead dogs on the side of the Wimmera Highway some 6km away on Monday.
Police have released an image of a similarly styled white van and are asking for help locating the driver.
