Perth Uber driver Moiz Akash was brutally attacked in his vehicle Sunday night after picking up a stranger for a ride
The man allegedly got into the car ‘aggressively’ and punched and spat at Mr Akash, who raised his arms in a defensive position.
The situation had reportedly escalated before the man realized he was being recorded on the vehicle’s dashcam, prompting him to launch his vicious attack.
“He said, ‘I’m going to kill you tonight, you’re going to die tonight,'” Mr Akash recalled to 7News.
The driver claimed he could not breathe for more than 10 seconds when the stranger strangled him.
But Mr Akash managed to fight back and bit the man’s finger after it slipped into his mouth.
Both men then exited the vehicle, where the stranger reportedly threatened the driver again.

“I get out of the car, he runs after me and says, ‘I’m going to kill you tonight,’ Mr Akash said.
Moments later, he returned to his car and fled the area.
Akash said he initially installed the dashcam in his car because he happened to be attacked while he was at work.
He has vowed never to drive for Uber again.
The Middelburg police are investigating.
