A 45-year-old father who was found guilty of 97 counts of sexual assault after filming himself raping nine women and three teenage girls is expected to spend decades behind bars.

Adam Charles Lusk was found guilty of 85 counts of sexual penetration without consent and 12 counts of stupefying to commit an indictable offence in the Western Australian District Court in Perth on Thursday.

He had an impassive expression in the courtroom as the jury delivered its verdict.

The court heard the FIFO civil engineer met his victims through social or online interactions using Sugar Daddy Meet, Tinder and Snapchat over a period of almost two years.

The court heard the father lured his victims to his home in Ascot, east of the city, where he drugged, raped and filmed them.

A jury found Lusk guilty after a grueling five-week trial that featured several videos that were too graphic to be shown in open court.

He initially pleaded not guilty to 100 counts, saying the women and teenagers had consented to sex and that some had pretended to be unconscious or semi-lucid.

More than 80 of his crimes were caught on video, with victims heard repeatedly telling Lusk “no” and pushing him. One begged him to “show mercy.”

Some of Lusk’s worst crimes were committed against a 16-year-old girl he met at a Sugar Daddy Meet in 2020. Western Australia reported.

On one occasion he recorded himself abusing the teenager, who was semi-conscious.

When she began to beg him to stop, Lusk pinned her arm behind her back and told her to shut up.

The other two underage victims were 17-year-old girls who were invited to Lusk’s home to “break up” after one of them met him through Snapchat.

They had started talking six months earlier, when the girl was 16.

Lusk recorded himself raping one of the girls. He was also accused of raping a third 17-year-old girl that same night, but was acquitted of the charge.

Two charges of drugging women were also dismissed.

Lusk admitted to raping one of the women he filmed during the trial as jurors watched 19 minutes of footage of her unconscious.

In a rare case, Judge Alan Troy ordered the jury to find Lusk guilty of raping the woman multiple times, but to decide whether the victim had been drugged.

Lusk claimed the woman had passed out as a result of a sex game, but the jury found he had drugged her.

In the videos, six women are seen completely unconscious and two of them appear “semi-disoriented.”

The court heard that Lusk kept videos he deemed “noteworthy.”

Asked if the women had consented to being filmed, Lusk said he thought it would be okay because he planned to share the footage with them.

The videos were never shared with the women and Lusk argued he “never had the opportunity” in several cases.

A person known to Lusk submitted a video of one of the rapes to police in May 2021.

But officers were unable to charge Lusk because they could not identify the victim.

The acquaintance had confronted Lusk via text message at the time.

In one message, the person wrote: ‘She was drugged.’

Mr Lusk replied: “No, she wasn’t. We had been fucking all afternoon and she left.”

“…She liked to get drunk and fuck. She was drunk as a madwoman.”

Following his arrest in January 2022, Lusk told police the woman was “acting out” a fantasy they had discussed beforehand.

However, he later testified that he filmed the video to ‘make fun’ of the woman for being ‘lazy’ during sex.

Lusk was arrested after two women reported his assaults to police, allowing officers to confiscate his electronic devices.

The woman in the video released in 2021 was found and testified that she had no memory of that night or having sex with Lusk.

She claimed she was given what she thought was paracetamol after arriving home due to a headache.

Lusk is scheduled to be sentenced on December 20.
