Airbnb owner finds a half-eaten cake with a very interesting message left by guests who “completely trashed” the vacation home

  • Half-eaten cake with a message left on Airbnb ‘trashed’
  • The message congratulated someone on finishing probation

An Airbnb host was in for an interesting surprise when he discovered that his vacation rental had been “vanced” by a group of guests.

The woman was shocked to find her mother’s Airbnb “absolutely trashed” when she went to clean it, but it was what she found in the fridge that raised eyebrows.

In the fridge was a half-eaten chocolate cake with a message congratulating one of the guests on finishing his probation.

The entire message was indistinguishable from a pile of fingerprints that had been stamped into the frosting.

The Perth mother shared the finding online and sent dozens into hysterics.

A Perth Airbnb owner discovered a cake with a message congratulating a guest on finishing his probation on the fridge in his holiday home.

“This was left in the fridge when I was cleaning out my mom’s absolutely trashed Airbnb. “Congratulations on finishing your probation,” he wrote in a mail to The Bell Tower Times 2.0 Facebook page.

She added that her skin “smelled like bleach for days” after she used a large amount of cleanser to get the Airbnb back on track.

People tried to guess what the full message written on the cake said and one speculated it read: “Congratulations on finishing your probation, stay out this time, your fam x.”

“I think this works and is probably appropriate,” they said.

The woman said that the guests had

The woman said guests had “completely trashed” the Airbnb and that she had to use so much bleach to clean it that her skin “smelled for days.”

Others thought the guests’ ‘incredible’ leftovers were hilarious with one saying: ‘She must have had it pretty good in the tin, she left half a quality cake like that!’

“Couldn’t get a hotel room because they can’t get a credit card to check in…Airbnb is the next best thing,” wrote a second.

‘Well, considering that the rent crisis is so bad that people who have never been to prison can’t get rent, where else are they supposed to stay…?’ a third party intervened.

Are they fingerprints? asked another.

One person joked to the host ‘better get the black light out’ while another said the dessert was ‘fancy’.

“There’s nothing wrong with staying in an Airbnb, but you don’t have to trash it!” someone added.
