A travel agent turned personal trainer lost 20kg by embracing simple weight loss secrets, and she’s shared her recipe for a delicious ‘sticky chicken burger’, promising you don’t need to eat chicken and rice to lose weight.
Brittany McChrystal, 27, who is from New Zealand and lives in Sydney, dropped her weight at 82kg after she got an office job near a food court and started “partying a lot”.
Despite trying to eat healthy, Brittany said she had “bad habits of binge eating and drinking,” and that she would go on a diet just to get off the wagon and fully re-gain the weight.
However, after abandoning her ‘all or nothing’ approach and focusing on a ‘back to basics’ plan centered around nutrient-dense, unprocessed foods and regular exercise, Brittany lost an incredible 20kg in just nine months.
She now practices what she preaches — she says you don’t have to eat boring foods just to be healthy.

In a report that went viral, Brittany said: Tik Tok video.
There is no need to eat boring food in order to lose weight. I lost 20kg eating foods like this every day.
To prepare the chicken burger, you will need 100 grams of chicken breast, ½ teaspoon of garlic, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
You will then need to dip the marinated chicken breasts into some of the egg whites in a bowl.
“ Crush 12 grams of cornflakes in a plate and mix with ½ teaspoon of paprika, then make sure the chicken is completely covered,” said Brittany.
Put it in the air fryer at 180°C for eight minutes.

Then she said you could make your own sauce – which consisted of 25 grams of Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon of Sriracha, ½ teaspoon of mustard and ½ teaspoon of honey.
Lay it on a bun with chopped onions and iceberg lettuce, before topping it with crispy chicken.
“Finally, to make the sticky sauce, mix together 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of Sriracha,” said Brittany.
‘That’s it. It’s very simple, low in calories, and tastes amazing. You can eat it every day to lose weight because it is only 440 calories and contains 30 grams of protein.
Thousands who watched Brett’s video were quick to thank PT for sharing something tasty, but also low in calories.
“Yum,” someone wrote, while others asked for her baking recommendations.

To lose weight, Brittany completely overhauled her eating — replacing prepackaged meals and huge portions with nutritious, healthy meals and snacks (pictured now)

Besides eating healthy, the 27-year-old aims to train five days a week for an hour and get 10,000 steps a day (pictured during exercise)
Previously, Brittany shared why the secret to permanent weight loss is to be “slow and steady.”
“Slow and steady wins the weight loss race,” she told FEMAIL.
“If you go in once and restrict things, you’ll feel bad when you can’t keep up with your system.”
Before she lost the weight, Brittany said, she was in a “bad place” with her mental health.
I was afraid of carbs because I thought they would make me fat. “I’m also on and off the keto diet because I saw results at first and then I stopped,” she said.
The 27-year-old recalls having “bad panic attacks” and hiding her body in “long, baggy clothes”.
Worse, Brittany’s energy levels were “really suffering” and she had to seek help from a professional to deal with her stress.
Brittany said her diet before was filled with no breakfast, a vending machine snack like potato chips and giant portions of leftovers for lunch and big meals for dinner followed by ice cream.
However, when she climbed onto the scale at a friend’s house and saw the figure staring back at her, she knew she needed to change.
To lose weight, Brittany completely overhauled her eating—replacing prepackaged meals and huge portions with nutritious, healthy meals and snacks.
“Now, I eat amazing, delicious food that makes me feel happy afterwards,” she said.
“I eat typical foods and put more nutrients on them.
“For example, this morning I had banana-biscoff baked oats, lunch was fresh spring rolls, and for dinner I had homemade nachos made with tortillas.”

Brittany (pictured now) said, ‘I didn’t use to enjoy training until I found a program that I love, and now it’s just a habit and I love how it makes me feel.
Brittany said she’s learned that being on a health journey “don’t have to suck and you don’t have to cut out all the foods you love.”
“It’s about finding the perfect balance between the blend of whole foods and soul foods, and not labeling any food as good or bad,” she said.
“Food is just food, and when you label it, it makes you feel guilty which can lead to restriction and then overeating.”
Besides eating healthy, the 27-year-old aims to train five days a week for an hour and get 10,000 steps a day.
“I didn’t use to enjoy training until I found a program that I love, and now it’s just a habit and I like how it feels,” she said.
Her overhaul also changed her profession.
Brittany is now a fitness trainer and created her own fitness app, “BrittFit,” which features hundreds of healthy recipes and workout routines.
“I will also be doing my first WBFF bikini show in July,” she added.
“I’m doing it because I want to show the world my transformation and to know that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
