- He figured he could ‘transform’ his manhood the same way he could his biceps.
A physiotherapist was left with a weight plate stuck to his penis and in excruciating pain after a bizarre attempt to enlarge his member went horribly wrong.
The 24-year-old Indian believed he could “transform” his manhood in the same way as his biceps and quadriceps.
As part of his DIY method, he inserted his flaccid penis through the hole of the metal plate that weighed approximately 3 kg (6.6 lb).
The man, who was not identified by the doctors who shared his unusual case, proceeded to stimulate himself to try to lift it with his erect penis.
The 24-year-old Indian assumed he could “transform” his manhood in the same way as his biceps and quadriceps.
He “ignored” the “mild” pain and swelling he felt shortly after his attempt began.
Instead of quitting, he remained “excited,” according to an account published by doctors in the journal Urology Case Reports.
They wrote: ‘After some time, when the intensity of pain and swelling increased in the penis, he tried to remove the weight plate but was unable to do so.
“He panicked and decided to visit the doctor.”
The man, who went to the hospital two hours after placing weight on his penis, was accompanied by anonymous relatives.
Urologists described his penis as “imprisoned” and shared horrifying images of it swollen.
Attempts to slide the plate off with a pain-relieving gel were unsuccessful, as were initial medications and surgical efforts to reduce the swelling.
Surgeons were finally able to remove the plaque by trying another method to relieve the swelling.
He was discharged the next day.
Penile imprisonment, sometimes called strangulation, is a medical emergency.
It usually occurs in patients with mental disorders or who are trying to become sexually aroused.
People have used different methods such as duct tape, plastic bottles, rings and key chains to perform the act.
Doctors must urgently release the penis from the object that is squeezing it to preserve blood vessels and body tissue.
In the most severe cases, amputation of the penis is required.
