The singer, 30, admitted during an interview on Capital Breakfast on Friday that her two-year-old son Axel is her biggest fan and already “knows all the words” to her new songs.
Appearing on Capital Breakfast on Friday, presenter Sian Welby asked the star: “I was wondering if you played the songs for Axel, just to get him to react a bit.”
Perrie then explained that her son is her biggest fan and even has his own nickname for their recording studio, ‘the la la room.’
She said: ‘Yes, I bet everything. My studio is in the house, so he calls it ‘la la room’ and he just lets himself in between takes, like I’m in my zone, and he just comes in… ‘la la la la la’ and then he says, ‘not this one.’
‘Like every time I play a ballad, he says: “Not this.” And I said, “Oh, don’t you want this ballad?” And he says: “no, I want to dance.”
“And I said, okay, so you want a more optimistic one, and he has his favorite, which I can’t name right now.” But he says “he plays, he plays” and as soon as he shows up, he goes for it. And he knows all the lyrics to all the songs. He is so cute!’
Perrie also opened up about life without Little Mix, confessing that “it’s strange and really weird” not having Jade Thirwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock by her side.
‘As if I felt comfortable. But it is rare. This is all so strange. And I just in my mind, I don’t know. I’m kind of waiting to see the girls when I get there. Although I know that’s not going to happen,” Perrie admitted.
‘I’m still subconsciously like, ‘Jade, Leigh-Anne… where are you?’ It’s really strange, but exciting. It’s exciting that we are all doing our thing and we like to love each other doing our thing.

Perrie confessed that Axel isn’t that big a fan of her ballads and prefers upbeat songs (pictured with her fiancé and Axel’s father, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain).
And, you know, you never know what the future holds. And I just miss them so much. So this is random for me.”
While Perrie has just released her solo music, Leigh-Anne has already released three singles and performed at the Capital Jingle Bell Ball in December.
Speaking about her best friend’s success, Perrie said she found it “inspiring” to see Leigh-Anne going out on her own.
‘I think the biggest thing I found inspiring when we obviously decided to split up and do our own thing was that the idea was one thing because we thought, “oh, maybe we should take a little break, do our own thing. See what happens.”
‘But then seeing Leigh-Anne come out and do it was crazy! So I watch her in interviews, I watch her perform, and I’m like, “How is she doing this? That’s crazy!”
“I’m so proud of her and excited for her and then I kept thinking, ‘God, I have to do that next.’ I’m like, ‘Can I do that?’ “I don’t know. It’s very strange, but it’s amazing to see them doing well, like I just want them to win, so it’s very nice. It’s such a nice feeling.”
Fans went wild over Perrie’s new single, calling her the “voice of a generation” after listening to the full song.
