Gamblers have been seen outside of casinos in California and Washington as states across America prepare to reopen their doors to customers ready to participate in gambling.

Guards were seen checking the temperatures of customers before entering the casino. Anyone with a value above 100F will be denied access.
The Viejas Casino & Resort was the first of three popular casinos in the San Diego area to open this week.
At least one recognized public health officer is a sovereign authority and is not subject to national and local restrictions on functioning during the coronavirus outbreak.
Gov Gavin Newsom announced a dramatic relaxation Monday of health standards to reopen the state, a move that would allow almost any county to go faster, and offered the opportunity to return professional sports – without fans – in early June. In California, there are over 81,000 confirmed cases with at least 3,296 deaths.

Located on tribal grounds in Southern California, the casino is one of the first casinos in the area to reopen, as there will be more to welcome customers later this week

In Washington state, the casinos Emerald Queen, Little Creek and Nisqually Red Wind were opened on Monday.
Emerald Queen, with a normal capacity of about 12,000 people, said it will operate at about 30 percent.
All three casinos expect their guests to wear masks, although images show some people had no masks while waiting in line outside Emerald Queen.
“People should get out and have fun,” said Charmaine Brooks-Quinney KING 5. Brooks-Quinney said she waited in line for about an hour and a half to enter the casino.
In other parts of the US, people drove for hours to go to the casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi, which will reopen this week.
According to the Wall Street JournalShirley Martinez drove two hours from her home in Houston to Lake Charles, Louisiana, before the casinos reopen on Monday.
She told the newspaper that her mother was ready to play slots and make sure they had hand sanitizer and masks. “She said,” It’s open, let’s go, “said Martinez.
In Mississippi, the Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg prepared its doors on Thursday.

There are more than 1.5 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the US with at least 90,890 deaths
Last week, gamblers lined up outside casinos in Arizona and Oklahoma to play the slot machines.
The casino managers said their machines were spaced at least two meters apart and limited seating is permitted at tables for games such as blackjack.
In Arizona, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino in Maricopa and Fort McDowell Casino near Fountain Hills partially reopened on Friday morning when Gov Doug Ducey’s home order expired.
Meanwhile, casinos in the central and western parts of the state in Oklahoma say they have also redesigned with social distance restrictions and sanitation to protect against a corona virus resurgence.
In Arizona, there are at least 14,576 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 687 deaths, and in Oklahoma there are 5,489 cases and 293 deaths.
The Ak-Chin Tribal Council previously approved the reopening of its casino, with slot machines set up to take social distance and limited seating at blackjack tables. Poker, keno and bingo games are not yet allowed.
“We look forward to welcoming our casino guests,” said Robert Livingston, the casino’s general manager, in a statement.

In addition to social distance and sanitizing measures, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation casino will conduct temperature checks with handheld scanners and thermal cameras.
Gila River Hotels & Casinos said casinos will have new smoke-free sections on slot machine floors that perceive social distances, and hard plastic shields have been installed in key areas, including the cash register and some eateries.
Hand sanitizing stations have been prepared at the entrances and social distance will be encouraged everywhere.
Casinos remain closed in Las Vegas and the rest of Nevada, where the economy relies heavily on gambling and tourism in general.
Nevada gambling officials last week passed rules to restrict customers, keep gamblers apart, and disinfect dice and cards when the state’s casinos reopen.
But Democratic Governor Steve Sisolak has said that gambling sites will not be among companies that resume operations during the first phase of Nevada’s reopening.
