‘We’ve slipped into a different dimension’: People were baffled by TikTok video that appears to show a woman ‘frozen in time’ as she walks down the street
A bizarre video in which a woman appears to stop dead and freeze as she walks down the street has left people baffled.
The TikTok video, which was filmed somewhere in the UK, appears to be taken from Snapchat footage in which a woman was filmed walking on the sidewalk.
However, as the clip zooms in and focuses on the blonde woman, who is dressed in a black sweater and white pants, she is completely still.
He remains perfectly still for several seconds, before recovering and continuing to walk normally.
After the short clip went viral, with over 300,000 likes on the platform, people left comments indicating they were baffled by what he was doing.
A video has gone viral on TikTok in which a woman appears to be completely frozen in time as she walks down the street.
The clip appeared on the TikTok account @unknown1575489 with the caption “NPC found missing.”
‘NPC’ is a term used in games that refers to a character in the game that is not controlled by a player.
It is now often used as slang to describe somewhat ‘glitchy’ or ‘robotic’ behavior of humans online.
The camera zooms in on the woman, who has her knees slightly bent and her arms outstretched, and appears completely still.

The bizarre video appears to show the woman totally frozen, before snapping back to reality and continuing to walk.
For a few seconds, she remains like this until she shifts to her feet fully upright, and then continues walking down the street.
While the occurrence seems to be a bit strange, the words written over the video suggest that it is even more unusual than it seems, as the woman is claimed to have remained motionless for a minute before the cameraman began filming.
Responding to the video, people expressed their bewilderment at what they were seeing.
One person wrote: ‘Sometimes I think we’ve slipped into a different dimension.’
Another viewer, who was clearly freaked out by what he had seen, said: “That’s not even funny, I’d be shitting myself, she was literally snapped back to reality.”
I can’t imagine it’s a joke, there’s no one around.
One particularly nihilistic viewer noted: “We see stuff like this and it proves nothing is real or matters…and we still pay our bills.”
However, one person felt that they had discovered the reason for the “glitch” in the woman’s movement and suggested that the person who posted it had edited the video to make it appear as if the woman had stopped in time.
“Good editing,” they joked. It almost seemed real.
