The premiere finds Oz taking some complicated and risky steps to try and fill the power vacuum in Gotham’s underworld.
The show’s opening scenes show Oz confronted by Falcone crime family heir Alberto Falcone (Michael Zegan).
While he appears to be pleading with the volatile Alberto throughout the entire scene… he is pushed too far and quickly killed, providing the impetus for Oz’s arc.
The show that many fans compared it to was HBO’s iconic mafia series, The Sopranos, as both shows deal with organized crime.
