A weightlifter stopped an alleged voyeur after residents spent months worried they were being watched.
Sunshine Coast resident Tim Nickson learned about the man, who became known as Creekwood Ave Creeper, about six months ago after he allegedly broke into his home.
Nickson said neighbors had also claimed to have caught the man loitering and looking in their windows after dark on the home’s security cameras.
“I look at him and I feel like shit, he was at my house… and the exact same night he came back,” Nickson said. A current issue On Wednesday.

Nickson (pictured left) said neighbors had reported seeing a man allegedly looking in their windows and he decided to take matters into his own hands to keep the community safe.
“I walked out the door to put the clothes on the line and he was standing there looking at me.
And he was also too fast again, he just jumped over the fence.
“The police told me we can’t catch him, we can’t identify him, you have to do something about it.”
“And as harsh as it may seem, they’re right, man, you’ve got to step up, you’ve got to protect your family and you’ve got to serve your community, right?”
Nickson decided to install motion security lights and fence spikes in an effort to protect his home.
“I see this guy crawling out the window and I think, ‘Man, I’ve been chasing this guy for months, I’m not going to let him get away tonight,'” Nickson said.
Ms. Nickson is an avid weightlifter.
Police have since charged the 28-year-old man with criminal trespassing.
“And I just yell at him, ‘You bastard, I’m going to get you.'”
Nickson said he ran after the man down the street before catching up to him.
“I grab him by the shirt, throw him to the ground and say, ‘This is a citizen’s arrest,'” Nickson said.
