The club will reportedly sell Wolves star Pedro Neto this summer in a bid to fund new transfers and comply with Premier League financial regulations.

The Portuguese winger is having a fantastic season at Molineux after scoring two goals and providing eight assists in 15 Premier League appearances, and the player has attracted interest from a number of top teams over the years.

The 23-year-old is in his fifth season at Wolves and has become a key figure for the club, starting 14 games under Gary O’Neil this campaign.

However, the Wolves may be willing to cut their losses on the player to add more depth to the team at the end of the season, according to reports Sun.

The club are looking to sign a striker, a centre-back and another winger this summer, the report adds, but one of their top players will have to be sacrificed in order to comply with Premier League rules.

Wolves star Pedro Neto will leave the club this summer to help fund new deals, according to reports.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will reportedly battle to bring the player to north London.

Everton and Nottingham Forest have already been accused of breaching the league’s strict Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and the clubs are treading very carefully to avoid problems.

The January transfer window was unusually quiet, with less than £100m spent as clubs look to balance the books ahead of the summer.

With Wolves close to breaking even on PSR, they need to raise more money on a big name to spend, the report adds, with Neto a leading name to generate some cash for the club.

He claims Neto would have been signed by a top team years ago if it hadn’t been for his injury problems, with Arsenal fans long-standing.

He also says Tottenham, who Wolves will face this weekend, are “interested in doing business” and bringing him to north London as well.

Neto’s departure would be a blow to Wolves coach Gary O’Neil after he had eight assists.
