PE teacher, 43, reveals the EXACT working lunch that she swears by every day in winter

A physical education teacher shared the typical weekday lunch box she eats every day to stay slim and tight, revealing why it’s important to focus on hydrating your body and easily digestible food in the cooler months.

Gold Coast 43-year-old Belinda Norton packs her daily work lunch box full of complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, as well as plant-based protein to stay full until dinner.

“This week I went dairy-free and plant-based because I was feeling a little overloaded by the weather changes here in Australia,” Belinda explained about her Instagram page.

Belinda’s lunch box this week consists of fresh strawberries, raw almonds, seaweed crackers, manuka honey, a raw carrot and mini cucumbers as a snack.

The teacher then eats a roasted vegetable salad with young spinach, satay sauce and sweet potato for lunch.

She said she’s noticed temperatures drop a bit this week, as well as the winds and pollen that affect overall air quality.

“As soon as the temperature drops, we all feel the effects,” said Belinda.

“To maintain our well-being, we need to feed our bodies with easily digestible foods that create clean airways.”

The 43-year-old mom said she also concentrated on hydration this work week as it’s easy to drop water over the side when you’re busy working and it’s not that hot.

“I drank water, hot water, green tea, coconut water and sparkling mineral water,” she said.

“Just two coffees a day – up to a quarter cup of almond milk in coffee.”

Belinda said that a daily food routine has many health-enhancing options.

“It boosts your immunity and makes you feel good,” she said.

She also said that when you make meals, you know exactly what you put in your body, and you will increasingly make good choices.

“Food is fuel for your body and the machine you drive every day,” Belinda added.

Belinda told FEMAIL that the most important thing with your food that you take with you to work is to make sure you have plant foods, some raw crunch (such as carrots or mini cucumbers) and plenty of protein.

“I like fresh berries for antioxidants and lots of raw crunch and raw nut butters,” Belinda told Daily Mail Australia.

“The most important thing to think about in everything is your portion size. Your fist is the ideal measuring cup, while for children, a portion is their fist size. ‘
