Pay the police
An article from May 14 said that a report from the Center for Crime and Justice Studies found that the police used unfair methods to raise their wages. Although the report found that police spending overtime had risen – and said the case was “ripe for review,” the suggestion was that this was caused by dishonesty or “tricks” from the Mail, not from the report. Officers can start working overtime 30 minutes after the end of a service. The claim that officers arrest outside normal working hours to increase their payments has been broadcast earlier, but we should have made it clear that it is a suspicion. We apologize for any confusion and the item has been changed.
