Pause work on Marvel’s Blade again

An auteur’s strike in the United States has led to the first major delay of a feature film, one that has been paused before.

Marvel’s Blade starring Mahershala Ali has been halted in pre-production, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to IGN. And it was THR She is the one who broke the news for the first time.

Just a week ago, it was revealed that True Detective creator Nick Pizzolato had joined as author, reuniting him with Ali. But between that date and the strike call last Tuesday, one insider told THR, “time simply ran out.”

The film is currently scheduled to be shown on September 6, 2024, but this date may change depending on how long the strike lasts. Previous plans were for production to begin in late May.
