Paulina Porizkova is getting older and proud!

On Thursday, the 56-year-old supermodel shared a gorgeous bikini photo to Instagram that showed off her toned abs, not to mention beaming as she smiled and proudly rocked her grays. Porizkova used the caption to promote aging positivity and dispel myths.

“Fighting aging. Reversing aging. Rejuvenating. Anti-aging. None of this is possible. But if you search the internet for aging, this is what you get. Pills, potions and workouts to fight the aging process. You know what’s the only one way to stop aging? Die,” she wrote.

“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life fighting myself every day. But I do want to make the best of what I’ve been given. And I want to shine a bright light into the dark corners of the shame piled upon women of growing old.” I can’t change the world on my own, but if you feel like I do, there are some amazing women here on IG that I am inspired by every day, there are many more, and inspirations for all sorts of different reasons, but for now I only choose those who accept their aging and make it beautiful.”

Porizkova went on to tag 18 social influencers who create content that showcases the beauty of aging. She also added a disclaimer that she chose this photo of herself to get people’s attention and followed the caption with hashtags like “no botox, no fillers and no filters.”

Celebrity friends and fans told her not only how amazing she looked, but also how her transparency inspires them.

“Amen sister!!!” Lisa Rinna responded.

“You are an inspiration to this fellow widow in her 50s in so many ways,” said one fan.

“Aging is an attitude, not a visual presentation. And your words will change the attitude of many, more than what a pill could do,” one said.

“Turning 50 in a week and doing the same as you. Not afraid to age gracefully. Thank you for being an inspiration to us,” added another person.

“You look really great,” one commenter continued.

Porizkova has been open about her thoughts on aging and how social media affects body confidence. In an interview with Yahoo Beauty in 2015, she also expressed her opinion about not undergoing plastic surgery, which is common among women, especially in a society that constantly pressures women to look young throughout their lives.

“It’s funny because I never actually said I was against plastic surgery,” she revealed at the time. “I’m against that we all look homogeneous, where there is only one kind of template of a person. I’m really against that. That really pisses me off. Why can’t there be a little more variety in beauty? And as people get older and start messing with the injectables and stuff then people start to look very similar because everyone is kinda weirdly smooth and weirdly immobile but it never stays in one place, if you happen to do that to do injectables they will won’t be where you put them in 10 years.”
