Paulina Porizkova has opened up about love and dating in her 50s following the death of her husband Ric Ocasek, saying she has discovered that “ sex gets better with age. ”
The supermodel, which celebrated her 56th birthday last week, admitted Yahoo Life that she’s not sure what she wants in a partner, because she’s not the same person she was when she met The Cars frontman as a teenager – but she hasn’t ruled out getting married again.
“I don’t know what I want because my husband was my soul mate for so long, and what he gave me at the time is no longer what I need,” she said. ‘I need something different now because I’m much more fabulous now than I was when I was 19. I need a man who can withstand my greatness. ‘

Paulina was only 19 when she met Ric on the set of the music video for The Cars’ hit “Drive” in 1984. They married five years later after they met, when she was 24 and he was 45. They had two. sons, Jonathan and Oliver.
In 2017, Paulina and Ric quietly separated after nearly 30 years of marriage, noting that the end of their relationship came “ as a shock ” to her because she was “ never pregnant ” because she wasn’t married to him. They planned to get a divorce when he died at the age of 75 in September 2019.
“And now that I’m dating again, I realize I’m not very good at it,” she said. “I keep being a weird teenager when it comes to dating because the last time I dated I was a teenager.”
Paulina stressed that she doesn’t want a man who “doesn’t hear” her and treats her “like a beautiful and dignified object,” and said she still isn’t sure how to know if someone likes her for who she is as a person.

Paulina said her sons Jonathan, 27, and Oliver, 22, were supportive of her dating, but she noted that she won’t introduce them to anyone unless the relationship is serious.
