Olivia Dunne’s debut at LSU’s final gymnastics season had her favorite spectator in Baton Rouge with her boyfriend and Pittsburgh Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes.
Dunne is entering her final year of varsity sports at the school where she and Skenes met in 2023 and have been a couple ever since.
Dunne began her season by placing fourth on the balance beam without falling, with a score of 9.825. Dunne increased her score to 9.875 and placed third in the Tigers’ final event of the night, the floor exercise.
Joining Skenes inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center was his Pirates teammate Bubba Chandler.
Dunne revealed on Wednesday that she and Skenes were in New Orleans the night of the Bourbon Street terrorist attack after sharing chilling footage from their New Year’s celebrations.
On New Year’s Day, the LSU gymnastics sensation posted two photos from a night out at Louisianahowever, both appear to be from the night before.

Skenes and Dunne were on Bourbon Street before Wednesday’s deadly terrorist attack.
Dunne shared a photo of Bourbon Street that appears to be hours before the terrorist attack.
She and her MLB star boyfriend, Skenes, were first photographed alongside Chandler and his partner Allie Enright at a bar.
Dunne also posted a second image, which appeared to show a packed Bourbon Street hours before the deadly attack, along with a broken heart emoji.
It is unclear exactly when the group was on Bourbon Street, although the large crowd, apparently in good spirits, would suggest it was before the attack.
New Orleans is reeling from the fatal attack that claimed the lives of 14 people and injured 35 after a terrorist drove a vehicle into a large crowd celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street.
Dunne used his extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA to return to the Tigers lineup for a fifth season.
Skenes will not have to report to spring training with the Pirates for several more weeks.
LSU entered its season-opening meet ranked No. 2 in the country, coming off a national title last season, and lived up to the hype. The Tigers defeated Iowa State 197,300-194,100.
