Although he has been repeatedly rejected by the ITV series, he participated in the Italian version, Isola de Famosi in 2021, which is not affiliated with the UK show.
In a new interview, Gazza said that although producers tried to include him in the series, he has not yet passed the tests.

Speaking on stage at An Evening With Gascoigne, in lines obtained by the sunHe said: ‘You had to see a psychiatrist. If you pass the psychiatrist’s test, you’re in. I failed five fucking times!
And to be honest, the first time I went to see her she was doing cocaine, so she must have known.
‘The second time I told him to go to hell. The third time I never wanted to see it again, so it wasn’t very well received.”
Paul admitted that sometimes he is glad he missed the opportunity because he suffers from claustrophobia and is afraid of snakes.
I’m a Celebrity will return to screens on November 17 with a star-studded line-up, with Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins ready to head into the jungle.
Gazza’s stint on the Italian reality show came to an unfortunate end when he was forced to withdraw from his appearance after enduring persistent shoulder pain.
The football legend left the sunny shores of Cayos Cochinos, Honduras, after he could be seen clutching his arm in pain after completing an assault course with his fellow islanders.
Although he returned to the island with his arm in a sling, he was forced to retire permanently when the injury prevented him from participating in any of the physical games.

As the episode aired, celebrity guests Iva Zanicchi and Elettra Lamborghini, along with host Ilary Blasi, noted how impressed they were by her relaxed attitude despite the high tensions, while also saying, “What a body!” .
