Patsy Palmer has shared her heartbreak as devastating bushfires ravage her “hometown” of Los Angeles, while fellow Britons Alice Evans and Brooklyn Beckham are also affected by the terrifying incident.
The actress, 52, moved to Malibu in 2014 with her husband Richard and their children and frequently returns to the UK to film EastEnders.
She said in a post Thursday alongside a photo of the fires that her “brain was fried” and that many of her friends in the area where she lives had lost their homes.
Patsy had returned to the UK last Saturday before the fires broke out and said it was difficult to be so far away as the fires raged.
Patsy wrote: ‘My heart is broken. My brain is fried today looking AGAIN at the devastating fire scenes in my hometown. I just got back home just in case after the fires a couple of weeks ago and left on Saturday to work in the UK and now this.
‘My family is safe, but many of my friends have lost their homes again, which is extremely traumatic.

She said in a post Thursday alongside a photo of the flames that her “brain was fried” and that many of her friends had lost their homes in the area.
‘Being here so far away is really very difficult. I am praying and crying as I write this. I am helpless here, but I am praying a lot. Please contact us if you need anything. Richard and the children are there safe and sound and evacuated.
‘This is huge. I really didn’t expect this. With a broken heart. Stay safe.’
Fellow Brit Alice Evans, 56, was also preparing to evacuate her home in Los Angeles when the actress posted on her Story saying: “We’re now in the ‘pack things up and get ready’ zone.”
‘At least according to the monitoring site that most people recommend. The thing is where to go?
“Mainly listening to ‘drive south’.” But from what I can see, most of the roads are now completely blocked with back-to-back traffic. So I’m just waiting. The bags are packed. Waiting and watching.
‘Sending love to everyone. Much love to all of you. We have this. We have to do it.’
Alice is believed to be renting a house in California with her two children following her bitter divorce from Ioan Gruffudd.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Beckham shared a post with a broken heart emoji while sharing a snap of some of the fires.
Victoria and David’s son lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz. His photograph appeared to be taken from a tall building overlooking the fires.
Fellow Briton Alice Evans was also preparing to evacuate her home in Los Angeles.
She posted on her story saying, “We’re now in the ‘pack things up and get ready’ zone.”

His photo appeared to be taken from a tall building overlooking the fires.
