Patrick Mahomes Sr. will be able to go to the Super Bowl as his bail conditions do not prevent him from traveling out of state, DailyMail.com can confirm.

Patrick Mahomes’ father ranted to police that his drunken driving arrest in February would cost his son the Super Bowl, new footage reveals.

Mahomes Sr., 54, was arrested by the Tyler Police Department on Feb. 3, eight days before his son won the Super Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas.

Now, Images obtained by TMZ. shows the former Major League Baseball player getting angry at the police after they handcuffed him.

An officer had seen his white Genesis traveling too slowly while heading west in the 1100 block of W. Gentry. Police checked his registration, which had expired in September 2022, and he had an open can of beer in the car next to him when police stopped him.

‘Are they serious?’ Mahomes Sr. can be heard saying, “I’m supposed to go to the Super Bowl to watch my son play football, and this is what we’re doing?”

‘Can I say one thing? My son is getting ready to play in the fucking Super Bowl, okay? Just listen to me. I’m not drunk. I promise you. I’ve had a few drinks. But he can’t have this now. Listen, this can’t happen.

‘Dude. This is crazy. My son is getting ready to play in the damn Super Bowl and I’m doing interviews, five or six a day. And then, now, this shit is going to come out on the news and it’s going to fuck him up, and it’s probably going to fuck him up.”

And he probably won’t win the Super Bowl. But that’s okay. If that’s what you want to do, that’s fine.’

Until that point, Mahomes Sr. had cooperated with police.

He was later taken to the Smith County Jail and held on $10,000 bond. He made it to the Super Bowl the weekend after the incident and watched his son win his third ring, when the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

Mahomes Sr. later received a five-year probation sentence for the incident.

The Chiefs quarterback was questioned about the incident in preparation for the game against the San Francisco 49ers, but remained silent.

“I can’t go too deep into that, but I want to say he’s doing well whatever the situation is,” Mahomes said.

Mahomes won his third Super Bowl earlier this year when the Chiefs beat the 49ers in Las Vegas.

‘It’s a family matter, so I’ll leave it to the family. That’s all I’m going to say right now.’

Mahomes Sr was arrested again in Texas in June for driving with a suspended license.

In early August, Mahomes Sr celebrated six months of sobriety with a post on Instagram.

I would like to thank my God, wife, family and friends for 6 months on the sunny side of the road,” Mahomes’ father wrote on Instagram. “I know it’s been hard to meet Pat sober, but it’s worth it.”

His caption also included a message to his wife, Patrick II’s stepmother: “Trisha Mahomes, thank you for everything you do.”
