Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be without new weapon Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown for their Week 1 matchup against the Ravens, the team announced.

Brown was injured in his preseason debut with the team, suffering a left shoulder injury (officially ruled a sternoclavicular joint dislocation) against the Jaguars.

NFL Reporter Jordan Schultz It was reported on Aug. 13 that Brown would miss 4-6 weeks with the injury, so it’s possible the speedy receiver could return in Week 2.

Additionally, it could be seen as a positive that he was not placed on the team’s PUP (physically unable to perform) list, which would have ruled him out for the first four games of the season.

The 27-year-old was injured after catching an 11-yard pass from Mahomes over the middle and being tackled to the ground by Jaguars cornerback Montaric Brown.
