Evra admitted that he was watching to see Williams do his coaching badges at the club
“I’m doing my coaching badges at Manchester United, I’m going to follow my course two weeks a month and someone sent me a video about Brandon,” Evra said recently at the COPA90 Youtube Channel.
“I looked at it and said,” Wow, he has something that I really love “.
The 19-year-old has become a mainstay and has shown confidence and tenacity
Evra then revealed that he was out to go to one of the United youth sessions to take a closer look at the situation, before taking his findings to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and speaking.
“I went to the training and actually he was with the U21s, and they let me do a session with the U21s,” Evra added.
“So I saw him and he was tough, and after the training session I went with the first team and I saw Ole. I said, “Ole, do you know that kid Brandon Williams?” “Yes, they say he’s good.”
“I said,” Trust me, Ole, since I left, I see he can play, he can play with left back. ” I said give him a chance. “
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave Williams his chance in September and has played him 10 times since
The conversation clearly worked, as Williams could now be seen ten times in the Premier League with three months of the season to play.
The youngster already has a goal to his name, and five yellow cards in what has been a fiery start to his career with Old Trafford.
