ESPN’s Pat McAfee expects former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick to make a weekly appearance on his television show.
Belichick will likely have plenty of time on his hands in the future after parting ways with New England and not landing on a new team during this season’s coaching carousel.
‘I’m doing everything I can to get Bill Belichick on this show at least once a week in the future. “Only at least once a week going forward during football season,” McAfee said.
‘Can you imagine us mowing down Bill Belichick every week for an entire football season? That is if he wants to get into the media world and if he wants to be on our particular show. There is a chance he will say no.
McAfee also went on to say that it would be a “dream come true” if he could get Belichick to appear in a weekly ad on his show.

Belichick and the Patriots parted ways this offseason and he didn’t get a new coaching job.
Former Patriots WR Julian Edelman (M) said he would be hurt if Belichick did the McAfee show before him.
“Know that I’m throwing my hat in the ring in a big way,” McAfee added.
Belichick previously had the opportunity to work with McAfee on air during an appearance on ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ for the famous Army-Navy game.
If Belichick ends up appearing on McAfee’s show, it could strain his relationship with former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who previously stated he would be “hurt” if his former coach appeared on McAfee’s show before his own podcast. .
“I swear if you do McAfee before you do my show, that would hurt me,” he said, before joking, “I didn’t take all those pro-team deals for nothing.”
Edelman spent all 11 seasons of his NFL career playing with Belichick in New England.
During that time, he recorded 620 receptions, 6,822 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns.
