Pat Cummins and his wife Becky have revealed they are expecting another child almost three years after the birth of their son Albie.
The Australian Test cricket captain and his partner broke the news on Instagram on Wednesday, writing: ‘We are incredibly happy to finally share our news (baby emoji)!
‘We’re so excited to meet you, honey, and add a little more craziness to our lives.’
The post was accompanied by photos of Becky showing off her baby bump to Albie, who she is seen cradling as he places a hand on her belly in one image.
Cummins’ teammate Mitch Marsh was among the first to congratulate the couple on the heartwarming announcement, as was cricket star Travis Head’s wife Jessica, Aaron Finch’s wife Amy, Usman Khawaja’s wife Rachel and Becky’s sister Kara.
When Albie was born in October 2021, Pat and Becky posted an emotional video capturing their journey to becoming first-time parents.
The video begins with Becky telling an excited Pat that she was pregnant, before documenting her growing baby bump, ultrasound scans and eventual arrival at the hospital to give birth.
Becky announced she was expecting Albie in an Instagram post in April of that year, sharing a photo of herself holding her emerging baby bump.

Albie already seems fascinated with the new addition to the family if the photos the couple posted are any guide.
The heartwarming photos were accompanied by the caption: “We’re so excited to meet you babe and add a little more craziness to our lives.”
Pat and Becky’s happy news comes almost four years after they welcomed Albie into the world.
“I can’t hide this happiness anymore! Baby Boston Cummins will be joining us in the spring. We are SO excited to meet you!” she wrote in the caption.
The couple were due to get married in April 2021 but had to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Today was supposed to be our wedding day,” Becky wrote on Instagram on April 1, tagging Pat in the post.
“Instead, I realized that I’ve never been happier, I’ve never loved and appreciated you so much. Here’s to the future and happy endings.”
They married in July 2022 at the luxurious Chateau Du Soleil in the Byron Bay hinterland in northern New South Wales, with Albie, then nine months old, held by a wedding guest near the couple as they exchanged vows.
The wedding was a star-studded affair, with comedian Andy Lee and his girlfriend Bec Harding among those in attendance.
Also in attendance were fellow cricketers Mitchell Starc, Andrew McDonald, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and his wife Emma McCarth and Tim Paine and his wife Bonnie.
Pat is currently taking a break from the game to ensure he is rested for Australia’s upcoming summer of cricket, which will see the team take on India in a highly-anticipated Test series.
The two months’ break granted to him by Cricket Australia marks his first proper break from the sport in almost two years.
Instead of playing in Australia’s white-ball tour of England and Scotland next month, he will prepare for India’s series by playing one-day matches against Pakistan in November.
