Past, present and future! Man City launch a new history-inspired away kit, which pays homage to the city’s old mills and warehouses, and will make its debut on Friday night in the Premier League opener at Burnley.

Manchester City have unveiled the kit that will begin their title defense on Friday night at Burnley, with the new away shirt paying tribute to Manchester’s rich history.
Modeled by players from both the men’s and women’s teams, City’s new away kit has been inspired by the city’s towering mills, bustling warehouses and industry, with Manchester renowned for its history and industrial heritage.
A classic white base has been livened up with a vibrant gold trim, which manufacturer Puma says was chosen taking inspiration from the city’s famous Ancoats brickyard.
In addition, the inside of the neck of the shirt also presents a symbolic representation of the factory profile of the city, in another nod to the generations of yesteryear.
The 2023-24 away shirt will make its debut on Friday night under the lights of Turf Moor, with Manchester City kicking off the new Premier League season against newly promoted Burnley.

It is said to have been designed with the performance of Pep Guardiola’s team in mind, with the shirt using state-of-the-art technology to provide optimum performance and comfort on the pitch.
Designed using ULTRAWEAVE fabric, the kit features a structured four-way stretch design that reduces weight and friction, allowing Guardiola’s treble-winning stars to move freely and comfortably.
The construction has also seen the use of dryCELL technology integrated into the fabric, designed to keep the body free of sweat.
The replica jersey is made from 100% recycled polyester.excluding trims and decorations.
An all-over tonal graphic print gives the jersey a retro feel, drawing inspiration from archival Manchester knitting patterns.

The white base has been brought to life with a burgundy and gold trim, inspired by Ancoats.

It has a retro touch and features state-of-the-art technology to maximize player comfort.
