This death follows another tragedy earlier this year on Mystery Island.
In May, a passenger on Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor died while swimming.
At the time, the company said in a statement that “Carnival Cruise Line is deeply saddened by the death of a guest on Mystery Island, following what appears to be a medical situation while he was swimming.”
A passenger on the ship told 7NEWS he died while snorkeling.
Mystery Island is a popular stop with tourists visiting Vanuatu and is famous for its beaches, clear blue waters and corals.
