Football fans are not shy when it comes to their heroes, and then there is Parramatta’s tragic Jack Gillogly, who now has a permanent reminder of five-eighths star Dylan Brown on his body.

Gillogly, 24, has followed the Eels since birth and his passion for the blue and gold reached a new level this week.

The budding entrepreneur visited a tattoo parlor on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and his choice of thigh ink was unique, to say the least.

“I got Dylan’s signature at Magic Round this year (in Brisbane), so it’s been seven months in the making,” he told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday.

“One of my favorite sayings when I see Parra, and Dylan, is ‘go yourself, Dylbags’ when he has the ball in his hand.

“So it made sense to get that as a tattoo (on my thigh) once I was able to get his signature… I just had to do it.”

It also included the accompanying message: “Yeah, Jack, buddy.”

Gillogly claimed he had “no choice” but to follow the Eels as a youngster.

“My dad put me in an Eels kit about 10 minutes after I was born,” he said.

‘I was in the 2001 Grand Final against the Knights, but I don’t remember it (thankfully).

‘I watched the decisive games of 2009 and 2022 at home… both were difficult games.

‘Next year I think everything will be fine… I’ll miss Gutho (retired fullback Clint Gutherson), but any team with Dylan and Mitch (Moses) should be competitive.

“Jason Ryles as our new coach is also exciting… it could be the start of something great.”

Parramatta begin their 2025 NRL campaign with a tough away trip to take on the Melbourne Storm on March 9.
