PSG ‘sack Christophe Galtier’ after just ONE season in charge in the French capital… despite helping the champions win their 11th Ligue 1 title
- Speculation had mounted that PSG would fire the 56-year-old at the end of the season
- Galtier joined Ligue 1 rivals Nice in July 2022 on a two-year deal
- But the failure in the Champions League made it possible to force the hand of the club’s hierarchy
Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has been sacked after just one season with the Ligue 1 champions, according to The Parisian.
The 56-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Qatar-backed club when appointed in July 2022 but failed to complete a single year in the French capital.
While Galtier led the team to their 11th championship after a successful league campaign in 2022-23, his spell at PSG was marred by a failure to get past the Champions League knockout stages.
