The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer OlympicsThe Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, officially taking place tomorrow, are the first to be held in Europe since London hosted them in 2012. Paris is one hour ahead of the UK.

The river parade will cover 6 km from east to west. It will start from the Pont d’Austerlitz, next to the Jardin des Plantes, go around the two islands of the Île Saint Louis and the Île de la Cité and pass under eight to ten bridges and gates until it reaches its final point in front of the Trocadero.
