Paris Hilton shared some positive news about her work helping victims of the Los Angeles fires, following the heartbreaking loss of her own Malibu home.
The 43-year-old hotel heiress posted an update via Instagram on Tuesday about the emergency fund she and her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact created to help displaced families and their pets.
‘In just 72 hours, we have raised $800,000 for families displaced by the Los Angeles fires. Let’s move on to $1 million! Thank you to everyone who has shown their support for our city!’ she wrote.
Hilton also mentioned that she has already donated $150,000 to the GoFundMe Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate cash assistance to 150 families in Altadena who lost their homes.
“Cash assistance provides dignity and choice,” Hilton explained. ‘Families know best what they need right now, whether it’s clothing, shelter or medicine. “Together, we are helping families rebuild on their own terms and gain stability during this devastating time.”
In addition to her financial support, Paris also contributed to helping the Pasadena Humane Society reunite a cat separated from her family by the Eaton Fire, which destroyed her home.

The cat was found after the fire ripped through the Altadena neighborhoods, and Paris visited the shelter to check on the kitten and asked her fans to help her find its owner.
Along with her significant donation, Hilton revealed that she will contribute “additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more” and plans to volunteer in person.
The mother of two wrote: ‘My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating fires here in Los Angeles. While I lost my home in Malibu, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more: their homes, their precious memories, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.
‘As a mother, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies, which is why I am launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with small children.
‘I’m starting with a personal contribution of $100,000 and will match additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I’m looking for others to donate and join me in doing our part!’

The Paris wildfire relief fund was created following the loss of their own property in Malibu, which burned down live on television.
She and her husband, Carter Reum, had lived in the 3,000-square-foot beachfront home for nearly four years before it was destroyed by the Palisades Fire on Wednesday.
The couple purchased the home for $8.4 million in June 2021, according to Realtor.com.
Hilton, who has two one-year-old children with Reum, shared her heartbreak on Instagram, calling the loss “heartbreaking beyond words.”
“This house was where we made so many precious memories,” Paris wrote. “It’s where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
He went on to say: ‘Although the loss is overwhelming, I hold on to the gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers go out to all the families affected by these fires.
“To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories and their beloved pets, my heart aches for those who are still in danger or grieving greater losses.”
