The parents of a boy who was killed in his car seat in a gang shooting in Oakland, California, say they feel so unsafe in the city and state thanks to the woke prosecutors that they are considering leaving for good.

Jasper Wu, who was one month shy of his second birthday, was killed by a stray bullet while sleeping in his car seat as his mother drove on I-880 on November 6, 2021.

It was 2 in the afternoon and the rival gangs Chopper City and Eddy Rock engaged in a continuous firefight.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of the young boy, but almost two years later, they still have not been sentenced.

Now, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is advising her team of prosecutors against filing felony aggravation charges as part of an effort to “reduce recidivism.”

It means that any crime buffs that could have been applied now probably won’t, and will reduce the time Jasper’s killers spend behind bars.

Jasper’s mother, An Wu, said ABC 7 in San Francisco that would be a misstep.

‘If that happens, what kind of message are we sending to the public?’ she said.

He added that he still “feels scared” every time he drives through Oakland.

Trevor Green, 22, Ivory Bivins, 24; and Johnny Jackson, 28, were charged with Jasper’s murder in December.

They have not yet been tried. A fourth gang member who was involved was killed in another shooting before being arrested.

ABC obtained an internal memo from Price’s office outlining his desire to “restore balance to sentencing and reduce recidivism” by not allowing prosecutors to come up with “improvements.”

He has yet to respond to the Wu family’s criticism of his plans.

Oakland is just a stone’s throw from San Francisco, where some of the most progressive changes in the country were made by former District Attorney Chesa Boudin.

Crime and homelessness skyrocketed on his watch, and open-air drug markets became commonplace.

He was replaced by Brooke Jenkins last year. He has promised to restore order in the city.
