A seven-year-old boy was left traumatized after being “hanged” in a bathroom at his primary school, according to his parents.
The second-grade student at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School in Waldorf, Maryland, was injured and ended up in the hospital after the Nov. 15 incident.
The boy ended up with his jacket hooked to a hook in a bathroom stall, according to reports WCAX.
But the alleged culprit, a fourth-grade boy, ran for help after the boy began having trouble breathing, and the principal freed him and called 911.
The boy’s mother said on social media that he was found “foaming at the mouth and unconscious.”
He was diagnosed with a neck contusion, caused by blood trauma to the neck.
The second-grader’s family is wondering how the incident unfolded and if there was bullying or racism.
“My son told me that his little boy told him, ‘I’ll show you how he treated people in the past,'” the mother said.

‘If you look at my son, he has marks under his eyes. He still has bruises on his neck from being suffocated,” the boy’s parents, who do not want to be identified, told WCAX.
He is traumatized. It’s going to take time. This is not something you will overcome overnight.
The school district, however, has denied that bullying occurred in the incident.
“Two of our students were reported to be playing in the school bathroom when one of their students’ jackets became caught in a stall door hook,” the district said in a statement.
‘The student was unable to free himself and the other student involved was also unable to help them.
“This student left the bathroom to seek help from staff and reported the incident to administrators.”

But the boy’s parents say the district’s explanation doesn’t make sense to them.
He added: ‘If you’re playing, how do you get caught on a hook? We need answers. I want answers and we won’t stop until we get answers.’
The boy will not return to school, his parents said.
Parents are demanding that the school implement policies such as hallway monitors to prevent bullying and separate students by age.
‘I want to know why a fourth grader is in the same bathroom as a second grader. Most schools have them divided. “I feel this is very unacceptable,” he said.
Charles County Public Schools has opened an investigation into the incident.
