A mother stormed out after reading the so-called “correct” answer on her son’s Year 2 English homework.

The task asked the student to identify the correct synonym of different words. In one of them, the word was “ideal.”

Then they gave him five synonym options: Sweet, nice, perfect, identical, and interesting.

The student circled the “perfect” answer, but the teacher marked it as incorrect and said that the word “interesting” was the “correct” synonym.

The mother wondered if she was “crazy” because she believed, like many, that “perfect” should be the correct answer. After sharing an image of the homework on Reddit, other parents were also angry.

The task asked the student to identify the correct synonym of different words. In one of them, the word was “ideal.” Although the student chose “perfect,” the teacher marked it as incorrect.

“Someone is tripping and it’s not you,” one commented.

“‘Interesting’ isn’t even synonymous with ideal, it has completely different meanings,” said another.

“‘Ideal’ doesn’t work with ‘interesting’ as a synonym,” wrote a third. ‘I’m angry for you’

“At least it’s a good opportunity to teach your child that adults can make mistakes too,” another parent added.

The mother later said she emailed the teacher to point out the mistake and said she wasn’t “angry” but just confused by the whole ordeal.

It is not known if the teacher admitted his mistake.

Another parent was recently stumped by homework

Another parent was recently stumped by her kindergartener’s “unreasonably complicated” homework after the child brought home a confusing worksheet.

The task asked the four-year-old to identify various elements in their illustrations and write their names.

But a graphic of an adult rabbit with a bunch of bunnies caused a lot of controversy.

The first three questions of the exercise were simple and showed photographs of a bathtub, the number ’10’ and a spinning top. One guideline stated that no word was more than four letters long.

The man asked for help reddit.

She shared a photo of the worksheet that appeared to focus on the letter ‘T’ along with her son’s answers to previous questions.

“This is my son’s kindergarten work,” the man wrote. ‘What 3 or 4 letter word is this?’

Support from thousands of people poured in, with some offering possible solutions to the problem.
