A mother stormed out after reading the so-called “correct” answer on her son’s Year 2 English homework.
The task asked the student to identify the correct synonym of different words. In one of them, the word was “ideal.”
Then they gave him five synonym options: Sweet, nice, perfect, identical, and interesting.
The student circled the “perfect” answer, but the teacher marked it as incorrect and said that the word “interesting” was the “correct” synonym.
The mother wondered if she was “crazy” because she believed, like many, that “perfect” should be the correct answer. After sharing an image of the homework on Reddit, other parents were also angry.

“At least it’s a good opportunity to teach your child that adults can make mistakes too,” another parent added.
The mother later said she emailed the teacher to point out the mistake and said she wasn’t “angry” but just confused by the whole ordeal.
It is not known if the teacher admitted his mistake.

She shared a photo of the worksheet that appeared to focus on the letter ‘T’ along with her son’s answers to previous questions.
“This is my son’s kindergarten work,” the man wrote. ‘What 3 or 4 letter word is this?’
Support from thousands of people poured in, with some offering possible solutions to the problem.
