Indiana authorities arrested a couple more than a month after their 12-year-old daughter, Alice Bredhold, was found dead on her bedroom floor, raising serious concerns about neglect. On Wednesday, August 7, Alice’s parents, Ashley and Brent Bredhold, were arrested on neglect charges. Authorities accuse the parents of failing to properly manage Alice’s diabetes, leading to her tragic death. The coroner determined that Alice died from complications related to her diabetes, noting that her liver was more than twice the size of an adult woman’s and her blood sugar levels were four to eight times higher than what is typical for a child her age, the coroner reported.
