As is tradition, the medal table is ranked by the number of gold medals won by each team. At Tokyo 2020, China led the Paralympic field with 96 golds, followed by Great Britain with 41 and the United States with 37. If there is a tie in the medal table, the bronze and silver medals will be taken into account.
ParalympicsGB is hoping to achieve a similar result in Paris to the postponed Tokyo Games, where its athletes won 124 medals (UK Sport has set a target of between 100 and 140 medals).
Great Britain have never been outside the top five in the medal table since the inaugural Paralympic Games in Rome in 1960, and have been in the top three since Sydney 2000.
Here is the medal table with the top 10 nations; it will be updated at the end of each day.
