Channel Nine’s chief AFL reporter Tom Morris’s social media accounts have been hacked, with the criminal revealing his mobile phone number, private messages and posting a series of homophobic slurs.
In several sickening posts, the hacker used Morris’s X account to post messages including:
‘God, I hate the #PRIDE community.’
‘When was the last time you went to the city? It’s time to ban gays. Physically disgusting.
“Tom boy has some interesting dms.”
The hacker also posted “If anyone wants, call Tommy” and posted a private message that included Morris’ phone number.

The hacker was apparently frustrated that they couldn’t get a ransom for Morris’ account.
Not content with publicly stirring up controversy, the hacker also delved into Morris’s private messages looking for dirt to share.
That prompted Sydney Swans AFL women’s player Chloe Molloy to challenge the offender by sending a message to Morris’ account.
“How about you hack someone else and stop invading their privacy and the platform they use to work?” he wrote.

The criminal then posted a screenshot of that message, along with previews of a series of other direct messages. They then attacked the she/her pronouns included in Molloy’s account.
‘Chloemolloy seriously, WTF is the point of that label (pronouns), I can see you’re a woman. God, I hate leftists.
Finally, frustrated, the hacker posted: “Tom didn’t make a move bro, he didn’t make a dime off this damn head.”
All of the offensive tweets were deleted around lunchtime on Monday.
AFL player Chloe Molloy sent a direct message to the hacker, which she also shared with Morris’ audience.
The hacker questioned why the Sydney Swans statistician was using his pronouns while also making a series of homophobic posts using Morris’ account.
Morris returned to television in 2023 as Channel Nine’s chief AFL reporter, less than two years after being fired by Fox Sports for making offensive comments about women, Asians and gays.
He was sacked by Fox Footy in March 2022 after a leaked WhatsApp chat revealed offensive comments about his former colleague Megan Barnard, including her sexuality.
Another leaked video showed him making other controversial statements.
Morris faced heavy criticism from AFL fans when he received an award at the Australian Football Media Association Awards on September 19.
His dismissal by Fox Sports came less than 24 hours after Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge publicly condemned him during a press conference following their first round loss to Melbourne, calling it a “disgrace” .
After being fired, Morris posted an apology on social media.
“I would like to apologize unconditionally to everyone for my disgusting and disgraceful comments, which were made public yesterday,” he wrote.
‘I am especially sorry for the person involved. No one should ever, anywhere or at any time, be mentioned in that way.
‘I am deeply ashamed of my behaviour. My comments were hurtful to many and I will now take the time to listen, learn and work to improve myself, ensuring I become a better person. I’m so sorry for everyone.’
