Blonde icon Pamela Anderson left the beautiful shores of Malibu several years ago to lead a quieter life.
The Baywatch star found his new home on a remote island in Canada where he grew up.
And the 57-year-old bombshell told WWD.com on Tuesday why she left the glamor of California.
“I guess you could say a homecoming, to really look at my life and remember who I was, not what other people told me I was,” the Stacked star shared.
“And I didn’t want anything that had happened to me to define me,” the Playboy cover girl added.

“I wanted what I do to define me… all these discoveries came to me in the rose garden.”
He grew up in a small shack in Ladysmith, a quaint west coast town with a charming seafront.
Pamela attended Highland High School in Comox, British Columbia, where she played volleyball. He graduated in 1985.
The siren moved to Los Angeles after starting to work for Playboy magazine.
Last year, Pam said on Instagram: “I feel at home, with my animals, in the ocean, with a slight softness… reading, writing and dreaming… .”
She spoke with WWD.com to promote her new beauty product. Anderson’s new cleanser for her Sonsie Skin line is inspired by her rose garden.
The ex-wife of Tommy Lee and Kid Rock co-founded the vegan beauty brand earlier this year.

And their latest product launch is Cleansing Mousse, a foaming facial cleanser designed for sensitive skin.
It has been formulated with rosehip essence inspired by the flowers that grow in Pamela’s garden at her home in Canada.
She told WWD.com: “I start every day when I’m at home, in my rose garden, so I thought, ‘How can I carry that with me?’ I make rosehip oil and wanted to incorporate it into the skincare line…

In the early days of his fame.
‘When I started working with the Sonsie group, I really wanted to start applying my life lessons.
‘And I wanted to apply the things I’ve learned along the way: accept where you are on your beauty journey.
“And I felt like the rose garden, for me, was a very fundamental message, because I sort of rediscovered myself in the rose garden.”
Pamela has ditched makeup in recent years and now takes good care of her skin, but insists her daily routine is not particularly demanding.
She told Bustle: ‘I feel comfortable enough using just skincare outside the home. Since I do that, I take more time for myself.
The star is promoting a new cookbook titled I Love You.
‘If it’s at night I take a bath, read a book and put on my three products. It’s not a big, complicated skincare routine.
‘It’s just easy.
‘I like the intention with skin care. I like aromas to be transporting and uplifting. Happiness is a choice.
“I love incorporating all of that into the product line, because when you do this, you should look in the mirror and know that you are beautiful just the way you are.”
