Michelle Froome launched a tirade against Hamas, Gazans and Muslims on social media

She is the wife and agent of four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome, who has ridden for the Israel-Premier Tech team since 2020.

Froome’s outburst came after a pro-Palestinian activist called for greater protests against her husband’s team.

In a post on the official Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) website, the Palestinian Campaign for Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel said that “the road would be closed to genocide.”

The statement also accused the owners of Israel-Premier Tech of “sportwashing Israel’s 75-year regime of military occupation and apartheid, and now genocide.”

“We call for more protests than ever along the routes of the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France, which will begin in Italy this year,” the statement concludes. “Let’s make sure the path is closed to the perpetrators of genocide.”

Just over six months have passed since Hamas’ brutal incursion into Israel on October 7, killing some 1,170 people and taking 254 hostages according to Israeli figures.

The attack triggered a devastating Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, which is estimated to have killed at least 33,843 people and injured 76,575 since October. according to Hamas.

In a series of posts on Monday afternoon, Froome wrote: “I’m tired of standing by and silently supporting Israel while Hamas propaganda takes over social media. Enough is enough!

Froome (pictured with her husband in 2017) seemed outraged by calls to protest upcoming cycle races.

‘The silent majority needs to stand up and be heard. We don’t want your religion, we don’t want your beliefs. It is not compatible with modern civilization.

‘Women’s rights matter! Gay rights matter! Trans rights matter! Hamas does not support any of them. Take off the blinders and see the reality of the hate you are spreading. “There are no innocent inhabitants of Gaza.”

He continued: ‘Muslims are no longer the minority they say they are. They are here to take charge. The UK and France are happy to claim the benefits, but they will not integrate into those communities. They will continue TAKING what is convenient for them. They are a burden on modern society.

‘It’s time for people to stop pandering to political correctness. It’s all a facade. They burned the babies alive. They don’t deserve any remorse. This is just the beginning. WAKE UP.’

This year, Israel-Premier Tech removed the name ‘Israel’ from its team vehicles, as part of precautionary measures due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

A general view shows destruction in the area surrounding Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital after the Israeli army withdrew from the complex housing the hospital on April 1, 2024.

Palestinian women cry as the bodies of their wounded and killed relatives are removed from a residential building that was the target of a nighttime bombing on April 2, 2024 in Rafah.

In a series of publications he made known his feelings about the conflict that has claimed at least 33,175 lives.

Froome added: “If anyone is surprised that I have strong opinions, they clearly haven’t been around cycling long enough.” I have been silent but I will no longer be silent.

“It’s not about riding a bike, it’s about the world my kids are growing up in. More parents need to care about this.”

‘I have communicated with many people and close friends about my opinions on this conflict. He delivered [have] and we will always support Israel. I don’t need to be Israeli or Jewish. I am a Catholic born in Wales, but I care about my close Jewish friends and what they experience on a daily basis.

‘I don’t believe in the garbage Hamas propaganda that is published to try to provoke some kind of violent reaction on social media. Investigate the facts. Hamas is a terrorist organization whose sole objective is to make money from this situation while its leaders hide in Qatar.’
